This Doll Cradle has a low profile and can be constructed from 4 lineal feet of 1" x 12" pine, 2 lineal feet of 1" x 6" pine, and 4' of 3/8" dowels available from local lumber supply stores. No hardware is necessary; glue joints are used for attaching all parts. The cradle can be made from hardwoods if you so desire. It is 24" long, 11" wide, and 10" high.

This easel has two faces so that two children can use it at the same time. Although I prefer to make the easel from hard maple, it can be made of pine and hardboard, which can be purchased from a local building supply house along with the hinges and carriage bolts for attaching the faces to the legs. It has four different height positions for the faces, and the trays are attached to the faces so they are always at the proper height for each position. The shelf between the legs also serves as a brace for the easel. It is hinged so that the easel can be set aside when not being used. It is 48" high and 24" wide.

A toy box can be more than a container for toys. This unit is made of veneer oak plywood and red oak lumber. If it is to be painted it can be made from pine and construction grade plywood. In addition to toy storage, it can be used for firewood, or for storing boots in the inside foyer of a home. It serves nicely as a seat for changing shoes and boots. It can also be used for clothing storage in a college dorm room. It can serve as a coffee table with or without the rear decorative piece in the top. Except for the piano hinge that attaches the lid, it has glue joints throughout. It is 36" wide, 18" deep, and 17" high.
